At a recent hearing Ms. Porter questions Abbvie Pharmaceuticals executive about their substantial price increases for life saving drugs, executive bonus payouts, and stock buy-back spending. Pharmaceutical company price gouging, and stock buy backs using government induced free debt is a matter of obscenity.
There was a time when laws applied to everyone, and every business entity, holding them to equal account. That time has long passed. This video is similar to many over the last decade where banking executives have been questioned about their corrupt practices. Yet nobody does to jail, nobody has their assets seized, no justice is found.
People of the World are waking up! It is time to hold executives, billionaires, corporations, and government officials to account. Complete transparency is needed, not on the level of $600 dollar bank transactions of the people, but rather on every penny, and interaction of people in positions of power. Equally if that power lies in government, banking, or private enterprise. This is where the scrutiny and accountability must lie.
Notice that drugs companies are increasings life dependent drugs to the point of extortion to pad the pockets of the already super-rich, which holding people at gun point. Their justification in legal documentation is R&D (Research and Development) costs. However, upon inspection their R&D spending is far less than advertising, and a mere tiny fraction of their stock buybacks.
Abbvie spent over $50 Billion in stock buybacks, which only serve to pad the pockets of institutional and private investors, and also skyrocket the bonuses and stock values of the executives. It is corruption and exploitation most dire since it revolves around people’s ability to live, with price hikes under false pretexts.
There was a time when our Governments actually worked for the people to prevent these things from happening. We have witnessed many banking executives and tech moguls questioned in government hearings, yet they are allowed to continue committing crimes.
Now is the time for complete transparency at the highest levels, and restrictions of invasions and manipulations of the general populations.
